Supporting New Zealand students to learn with confidence

We created Elevate Learning Hub to support New Zealand students with the learning skills that matter most — from foundational literacy and numeracy through to NCEA preparation. Our goal is simple: to help students feel more confident, more capable, and more prepared for school, assessments, and future learning.

Through our secure digital tutoring portal, myelevatetutor™, students can access step-by-step support, practise key skills, check their understanding, and receive guidance that helps them learn — not just copy answers.

Our Purpose

Learning can feel overwhelming. For the student trying to get or stay ahead or when students fall behind, lose confidence, or do not know where to start, the pressure they feel can be enormous. Elevate Learning Hub’s myelevatetutor™ relieves that pressure. In doing so, it supports more than student learning, it indirectly supports student wellbeing.

Why we created
Elevate Learning Hub

The people behind Elevate Learning Hub understand the limits associated with the traditional approach to education and the difference AI augmentation can make to student learning, teacher capacity and the wellbeing of people.

Some have spent years working in or supporting education. Others bring the technical knowledge and understanding that liberates student learning from the constraints imposed by the economic and resource limitations of the education systems we rely on.

Supporting teaching and learning with AI augmentation enables everyone to achieve to the best of their ability. We look forward to seeing where you take this.

myelevatetutor™ - our first service

Many families want or know their child needs extra tutoring support, but private tutoring can be expensive, difficult to schedule, or unavailable when students need help most.

Our Vision

Our vision is for every student to realise their learning potential and to make quality learning support more accessible for New Zealand students.

We want Elevate Learning Hub to become a trusted place where students can go for help, parents can feel reassured, and schools can see real value in additional learning support.

We are starting with literacy and numeracy because these skills are essential for success across all learning areas — but our long-term goal is to continue growing the platform to support more students, more subjects, and more learning needs.

Bex Rose

Chief Engagement Officer

With over 20 years on the front lines as a classroom teacher and Deputy Principal, Bex brings a true “boots-on-the-ground” perspective to the AI shift in education. She has supported thousands of teachers and leaders to move from digital uncertainty to confident, strategic action. Elevate was born from building a custom AI tutor for her daughter. Witnessing that “lightbulb moment” at her own kitchen table reshaped her vision for what learning could be, recognising AI’s potential as a powerful equity tool, strengthening the home-school partnership and providing personalised, non-threatening support for every learner. Bex focuses on helping schools navigate AI in practice, from policy and ethical considerations through to meaningful classroom implementation, enabling teachers and leaders to reclaim time for high-trust, human connection.

Stephen Steddy

Chief Technology Officer

Stephen's path to education technology came the long way round - through diesel engines, remote mining operations, and a deep curiosity about how things work. That instinct now drives his work at Elevate Learning Hub, shaping AI architecture for a platform built to give every student a fair shot, regardless of postcode or timezone. Outside of work, he raises puppies for Blind Low Vision New Zealand, helping future guide dogs take their first steps toward changing someone's life.
